Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen disturbing 911 call and photos surface showing bloody injuries from alleged domestic violence incidents

A disturbing 911 call and bloody images shed light on the chaotic domestic dispute between Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex Dakota Mortensen.

The call took place on the same day that Paul, 31, allegedly attacked Mortensen, 33, at her home. Both Paul and Mortensen – who dated on and off between 2022 and 2024 – made domestic violence allegations against each other in February, though on Tuesday it was announced that neither of them will be charged.

Photos from the incident, provided to the Draper City Police Department, show Mortensen with a bloody nose and both parties showing extensive bruises.

Meanwhile in the recording of the call, placed on February 22 of this year and obtained by TMZ, Mortensen and Paul are heard having a tense exchange as a child cries in the background.

The couple share two-year-old son Ever. Paul also has daughter Indy, eight, and son Ocean, five, with ex-husband Tate Paul, to whom she was married from 2016 until 2022.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Paul and Mortensen, as well as the Draper City Police Department for comment.

In the call Mortensen states that his son is ‘freaking out’ as he explains that the child was ‘kind of hurt’ and ‘wasn’t doing so well’ which prompted him to call 911.

At the start of the call Mortensen is heard saying, ‘I told you,’ while Paul is heard speaking in the background, though it’s unclear what she says, aside from a phrase ending in ‘to me’ and then a repeated plea of ‘please.’

The dispatcher then tries to ascertain the situation, as Mortensen says he’s calling about his son who had thrown up, but then adds that he thinks the little boy ‘is doing good now’ and that he plans to take him in to get help.

‘Is that him crying in the background?’ the dispatcher questions.

Mortensen confirms and the dispatcher questions whether the child is ‘sick.’

‘Yeah, I think he’s sick because that’s what he just did was threw up.’

‘Do you want me to have somebody come just check him out?’ the dispatcher asks.

‘No, he’s okay,’ Mortensen replies, as the child continues crying in the background.

‘I might just take him in, so I just didn’t know how to do that,’ he says.

Mortensen is then asked for his address, and the call ends shortly afterwards.

The next day, on February 23, another call was made by a man identified as Cru Ethan, who alleged there was an ongoing pattern of domestic abuse involving his friend, who is believed to be Mortensen.

He tells dispatchers about an alleged incident that happened earlier that morning at the home of Mortensen’s child’s mother, claiming she assaulted Mortensen and is currently on probation for domestic violence.

He claims that his friend had visible scratches, and that there was damage to property, including a broken car mirror, a damaged screen, and a drink being thrown.

Cru also mentions Paul by name, referring to her role as the new Bachelorette.

Cru claims he decided to speak out after seeing the scratches on Mortensen’s neck, and alleges there is evidence, including photos and videos, that shows repeated abuse. He also claims there is footage that shows Paul striking her children with a bar stool and attacking Mortensen.

He says Mortensen is ‘mentally drained’ and adds that he is concerned about the home environment, where three children are present.

Mortensen previously alleged that Paul attacked him at her home on February 22 between the hours of 3am and 6am local time.

He told police that the two were in bed with their son when Paul allegedly got angry about his past relationships.

He claimed that she grabbed his throat, face and neck and shoved him into a window. He said he attempted to call the police, but she convinced him to hang up the phone.

However, Paul told officers that she had asked Mortensen to leave her home that morning and that he refused. She did not claim that any physical violence took place that day.

The police report goes on to cite an incident from February 23, when Mortensen returned to Paul’s home the next day, after they had allegedly been intimate.

Mortensen claimed that they once again started talking about his past relationships and Paul ‘became angry again, mounted him, grabbed his throat, and screamed in his face.’

Paul allegedly threw a number of items at her ex and left a hole in the wall, before following him to his car where she allegedly continued to punch him.

‘Dakota shoved her off, causing her to hit her head on the center console screen. Upon leaving again, Dakota received a text from Taylor stating she was gushing blood from her nose and it would not stop,’ the police report stated.

Meanwhile Paul claimed that she was in the car with Mortensen when he spilled his drink on himself and became irate.

She claimed that he slammed her head against the dashboard before grabbing her by the neck and back.

On Tuesday, the police department announced that they wouldn’t be filing charges against Paul due to ‘insufficient corroborating evidence.’

‘With this new information [we] believe that Dakota to the primary aggressor of the second incident on the 23rd, and there is limited information for the 22nd,’ the report read.

In another call following the incident, Paul was heard telling a police officer that whatever Mortensen told them was ‘not accurate’, before even hearing the accusations.

In the audio from Draper Police, obtained by TMZ, Paul said she wanted them to talk to her lawyer and appeared confused when the officer asked her if she was okay and uninjured.

Mortensen filed an application for a restraining order against Paul in March, which resulted in her temporarily losing custody of their son.

After Mortensen was granted a temporary protective order against Paul, she was granted her own order against him on April 8, which bars him from contacting her or coming within 100 yards of her until their hearing on April 30 to determine if the orders will be made permanent.

Paul's season of The Bachelorette was scrapped after video of her hurling chairs at Mortensen in 2023 was released

After an hour-long hearing on April 7, the judge ruled that Paul will be allowed up to eight hours of supervised visitation with her son each week.

This temporary custody arrangement will remain in place for three weeks and two days, until the next court hearing on April 30.

Amid the drama, a 2023 video of Paul attacking Mortensen with a chair in front of her daughter Indy was leaked last month.

Paul was arrested after the incident but told police officers that Mortensen had allegedly thrown her to the ground before beginning to film. The charges against Paul were later dropped.

In March, ABC opted to pull Paul’s season of The Bachelorette before it had even aired after news of her latest alleged domestic violence incident broke.

Filming on the upcoming season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been paused for the time being.
