‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Breaks Silence, Confesses to Entering a ‘New Chapter’ After Betrayal
A star of TLC’s Sister Wives is entering a “new chapter” of life after a heartbreaking betrayal shattered her family.

Janelle Brown took to Instagram to share a new message and video clip. She’s seen walking on a dirt path, sharing a message that reads, “There’s a moment in every woman’s life when she realizes the story she’s telling no longer fits.”
In an accompanying caption, Brown penned, “I don’t know when it happens exactly. It’s not like a big dramatic moment or anything. It’s more like this quiet awareness that sneaks up on you. You’re living your life the way you’ve always lived it, and then suddenly you notice… hmm… this doesn’t feel like mine anymore.”
She continued, “That happened to me long before I ever said it out loud. I kept trying to squeeze myself into roles and routines that just didn’t fit the woman I was becoming. Honestly, it felt confusing. A little scary. But also… like relief.”
Brown concluded that once this shift happens, “you can’t un-notice it. If you’ve been feeling that lately… like the story you’ve been carrying isn’t the one you want to keep telling… you’re not imagining it. It’s usually the very beginning of your next chapter.”
Kody Brown‘s second wife has gone through a series of substantial life shifts since leaving polygamy behind three years ago, in December 2022.
She moved to North Carolina, where she is undertaking a new project, Taeda Farms, alongside her daughter and son-in-law, Maddie and Caleb Brush. Most importantly, she faced the death of her son, Garrison Brown, in early 2024.
Fans shared their support for the reality star in the post’s comments section. They praised her strength and encouraged her as she steps into this new phase of her life.
“You have come a long way Janelle. So proud of you,” wrote one follower. “You’re looking fabulous!! Your move seems to have really been good for you and your soul. Relax now, life is beautiful,” a second fan shared.
“You know what’s great about life?? You get to write AND live a new story. Try a few out…. Until you find one that fits better,” declared a third supporter. “Every decade seems like a different life. What a joy to be alive,” claimed an Instagram user.
One day before this post, Brown announced on Instagram that she had launched Second Chapter Coaching. “Not to turn anyone into a different version of themselves, but to help them come back to the one they’ve been missing,” she explained.
Janelle Brown was recently featured in an episode where she accepted an apology from her ex-husband, Kody Brown, for his behavior toward her since their split. She continues to appear on the series without him, as she builds a new life for herself.
