Silence. Then chaos. The future of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives hangs by a thread as insiders reveal a shocking truth: no decision has been made. Not for the season. Not for the show. Not at all. Behind the scenes, panic is growing. Cast members are ready. Cameras are not. Executives hesitate while tensions explode, fueled by scandal, betrayal, and public scrutiny. Every passing day risks total collapse. Summer plans? Already in jeopardy. Careers? Potentially on the line. What seemed like a temporary pause is now spiraling into a full-blown crisis no one can control anymore.

Production could “upend their summer plans” if they don’t start back up soon.

omTok seems to think they can survive the recent drama involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen, as TMZ reports the rest of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast is “ready” to start filming again.

According to the outlet, the cast is under the impression that production on the fan-favorite Hulu reality series will “resume in a matter of weeks,” but only if they “can get the bosses onboard.” Apparently, MomTok is eager to resume filming, since “delayed production could upend their summer plans.” And considering all the stressful developments that have taken place in the last few weeks, the cast could probably really use a proper vacay.

But don’t get too excited yet. According to one of TMZ’s insiders with direct knowledge, “network execs still haven’t made a decision on the future of the series, let alone the remainder of the fifth season,” so this ^^^ could all just be wishful thinking.

ICYMI, it was first announced on March 16 that production was being halted on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 5, the same day the news of Taylor and Dakota’s latest reported domestic dispute was made public.

Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette was canceled a few days later, when footage from a 2023 incident involving Dakota was leaked.

During her interview with Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper on March 25, Jessi Draper revealed that the show’s cast and producers initially decided to stop filming amid Taylor and Dakota’s ongoing domestic violence investigation.

“Me and the girls, we did decide to stop filming when we found this out because we were starting to hear things a little bit before it leaked.

We just didn’t want to be filming and say the wrong thing on camera, not knowing the full story yet,” Jessi explained. “We didn’t want to have to process all this information for the first time and then also be speaking about it.

We just thought for everyone’s mental health, let’s take a beat and let’s not film right now. That’s probably the best thing for everyone in this situation.”

Her fellow MomTok members supported her CHD convo shortly after and revealed they were “ready” to start production again with a series of Instagram Stories.
