Demi Engemann takes a swipe at Taylor Frankie Paul after ‘Bachelorette’ cancellation

Demi Engemann seemingly took a swipe at Taylor Frankie Paul with a quote about her “happy family” and “revenge” after Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was canceled over domestic violence allegations.

The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” alum shared the suspected jab at her former co-star via her Instagram Stories Thursday.

“The bills are paid. My husband is hot. Our marriage is strong. The kids are happy & healthy. I feel so damn rich,” Engemann, 31, wrote in the since-deleted post.

“My version of peace that no one could ever destroy no matter how hard some have tried,” she added alongside two emojis. “The best revenge truly is living well. I’ll die on that hill forever.”

A source, however, tells Page Six that Engemann’s post was in respect to what she shared on an episode of the “Disgraceful” podcast that released Thursday.

During the podcast episode, Engemann shared how she’s been “in the thick of [her] own healing and mental health journey” since stepping back from the drama of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and how the decision was the “best move” for her and her “personal health, well-being, peace and sanity.”

The insider added that the Hulu star promoted her podcast episode in an Instagram Story shortly before the post in question with a quote from Her Motherhood Corner, and ultimately took the post down so followers wouldn’t mistake it for a swipe at Paul.

It was revealed earlier this week that filming on Season 5 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” had been stopped after Paul and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen were allegedly involved in a domestic violence dispute late last month.

Shortly after, TMZ released a video of Paul and her 33-year-old ex during another fight in 2023 that led to the reality star’s arrest.

ABC, which was scheduled to premiere Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” this Sunday, ultimately decided to axe the season in the wake of the horrifying abuse video.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” the network told Page Six in a statement.

A spokesperson for Paul, meanwhile, told us that she was “very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security.”

The rep continued, “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

As for Engemann, she and Paul often feuded in the past – particularly during Season 3 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”

Engemann’s tense relationship with Paul and the other Hulu reality stars ultimately led her to step away from the show after the third season, although she did pop up in a few episodes of the current fourth season that premiered earlier this month.
