Latest Police Report: Kendra Duggar Moved to a New Jail Following Serious Charges
Kendra Duggar was spotted leaving the Washington County Detention Center after her Friday arrest.
The mother of four, 27, appeared to be emotional as she was photographed sitting in a car outside the jail, just hours after she and her husband, Joseph Duggar, 31, were hit with child endangerment charges.
Pictures show Kendra was wearing a pair of glasses while sitting in the passenger seat of a black vehicle. At one point, she covered her face with her hands.
According to jail records, Kendra is scheduled to make an appearance in court on Monday for a hearing at 7:45 a.m.
She will later be due in court again on April 29 at 2:00 p.m.
Kendra was arrested on Friday in Arkansas, days after her husband was arrested for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl in Florida.
The pair were both hit with four second degree counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and four second degree counts of false imprisonment.
She was booked into the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Ark. — where her husband is also currently being held — and was later released at 6:19 p.m. after posting a $1,470 bond.
Soon after, Kendra’s mugshot was revealed, which showed the disheveled mom as she stared blankly at the camera for her jail photo.
In Florida, Joseph is also being charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim younger than the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 or older.
Police previously confirmed that the Arkansas charges are unrelated to Joseph’s Florida case.
Joseph Duggar’s booking shows he has a court date for his Arkansas charges on April 29 in Elm Springs District Court. Kendra Duggar, meanwhile, was arrested Friday, the New York Times confirmed.
Together, Joseph and Kendra have four children, with the oldest being 7 years old. Kendra was released on a $1,470 bond on Friday, NYT says. Joseph remains in the Washington County Detention Center.
Joseph rose to reality TV fame as part of the TLC series “19 Kids and Counting,” which aired from Sept. 2008 to May 2015. While Kendra did not appear in the show, she appeared alongside Joseph in its spinoff, “Counting On,” which aired on TLC from 2015 to 2020.
But this isn’t the first time the Duggar family has faced troubles related to alleged crimes against children. Back in 2021, Joseph’s older brother Josh Duggar, 38, was convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material, for which he’s currently serving a 12 and a half year prison sentence.
On Friday, Joseph waived his right to an extradition hearing in Arkansas and now faces a transfer to Florida for the child molestation case, Associated Press reports.
Local police said this remains an active and ongoing investigation. Due to the involvement of minor victims, officials say no further details will be released at this time.
