JUST IN! Chilling New Evidence Found in Joseph Duggar’s Bedroom — Police Reveal Details
New details have emerged on what led to 19 Kids and Counting star Joseph Duggar‘s arrest.
On Wednesday, Mar. 18, Joseph, 31, was arrested and charged for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
Joseph made his first court appearance on Friday, Mar. 20. He did not enter a plea and waived his right to an extradition hearing, meaning he agreed to be transferred to Florida to face charges.
More details on what led to Joseph’s arrest were revealed in an affidavit filed by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and obtained by People.
According to the affidavit, Joseph confessed to molesting a 9-year-old girl in a phone call with the child’s father and a detective with the local police department.
BCSO Criminal Investigator Chase Norris writes in the document that he was told Joseph first confessed to molesting the minor while speaking with her father on Tuesday, Mar. 17.
Norris was told this information by a detective from the Tontitown Police Department in Arkansas, and, according to the affidavit, Norris then “requested the detective and victim’s father call the defendant.”

The affidavit states that Joseph “admitted his actions” on the phone, saying “he touched the victim over her clothing.”
Joseph also “admitted his intentions were not pure.”
From the interview, Norris writes that he learned the “the victim’s family traveled to Panama City Beach” in 2020 for a vacation, where she reportedly encountered Joseph.
At the vacation home, Joseph allegedly “asked the victim to sit on his lap, numerous times” and “would cradle the victim with his arms.”
Joseph then began to “ask the victim to sit on the couch” beside him, according to the affidavit.
Once the two were sat next to each other, the affidavit says Joseph “covered the parties with a blanket” before proceeding to “pull the victim’s dress up” and inappropriately touch her.
The victim claims these incidents occurred on several occasions and “made her feel uncomfortable and confused,” according to the affidavit.
Joseph is said to have “eventually approached the victim and apologized for his actions,” and the incidents reportedly stopped occurring after the apology.
