Dakota Mortensen’s Rep Addresses Taylor Frankie Paul Domestic Assault Allegation
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Dakota Mortensen’s rep spoke out following an alleged domestic dispute with ex Taylor Frankie Paul in February.

Dakota Mortensen‘s team is sharing his side of the story.
A spokesperson for the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star—who shares 23-month-old son Ever with The Bachelorette lead—addressed allegations that Mortensen and ex Taylor Frankie Paul were involved in a domestic dispute in February.
“His number one priority here is protecting [their 2-year-old son], Ever,” his rep told Entertainment Weekly in a statement March 18, adding of the alleged incident, “he knew there was a possibility it could come out, but he was not going to be the one to proactively do that because he has always wanted a decent relationship with Taylor.”
The rep noted that Mortensen ultimately “wants to co-parent well.”
Police confirmed to People March 16 that Mortensen and Paul are part of a “domestic assault investigation,” saying “allegations have been made in both directions.”
Filming for Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season five has been put on pause for two to three weeks amid the news, a source close to production confirmed to E! News.
As for Paul—who confirmed her breakup with Mortensen in May 2025 following a three-year on-and-off relationship—she recently spoke out to address the “heavy time” in her life.
“My heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time,” she told People. “Just the timing is hard, and it’s a big deal. I feel like every premiere that I’ve experienced, I’ve never enjoyed fully, so this is another one.”
While she said “it’s extremely hard” for her, Paul said she decided to move forward with press appearances to promote her season of The Bachelorette, which premieres March 22.
“I’m struggling for sure,” she continued, “but also at the same time I feel like if I don’t show up, then I’m just giving these opportunities away and not enjoying what we’ve worked on and something super exciting that’s coming.”
