Joseph and Kendra Duggar are together again in Arkansas.
The couple reunited one day after Joseph was released by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) in Florida, his lawyer Albert J. Sauline III tells PEOPLE.
Joseph flew back home to Arkansas after his release with his father Jim Bob Duggar, who Sauline says arrived in Florida three days before his son’s first court hearing in the state.
It took more than three days for Joseph to arrive in Bay County after being released from custody in Arkansas on March 27 because he was one of the first to be picked up by Florida officials in a cross-country trip to collect individuals being extradited to the state, explains Sauline.
Joseph made his first appearance before a judge just a few hours after being booked into custody by the BCSO on March 31, and a few hours later he was released after posting a $600,000 bond.

He and Kendra are now preparing for an April 29 court hearing in Arkansas after the pair were charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.
Those charges are unrelated to the ones in Florida, and were filed after a search of the couple’s home on March 19 by the Tontitown Police Department and Arkansas Dept. of Human Services.
Those agencies conducted the search on March 19, the day after Joseph’s arrest on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.
“I can tell you the arrest was a result of a home inspection, and the door locks being on the exterior of the doors,” a source close to the family previously told PEOPLE about the charges.
Joseph and Kendra have not yet commented publicly on any of the charges, but Kendra has hired her own lawyer to represent her in the proceedings, per a jail phone call obtained by PEOPLE.
Sauline will not be representing Joseph in the Arkansas case.

The Duggar family was very open about the use of locks on the outside of doors of bedrooms in their home, where the 19 children were split into two rooms based on biological sex.
As PEOPLE reported in 2015, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar decided the best way to protect their 19 children after learning their oldest son Josh had molested four of his sisters was to lock the children in their rooms each night.
If convicted on all eight counts, both Joseph and Kendra could be facing a prison sentence of up to 8 years and thousands of dollars in fines.
Kendra was able to post bail and was released from custody just a few hours after being booked on the charges. Joseph, who was already in custody, had the charges added to his jail docket.
Kendra and Joseph have not yet made an appearance in that case with officials citing the ongoing investigation as the main reason for the delay.
