Alleged ‘The Bachelorette’ Winner Reportedly Dumps Taylor Frankie Paul After Sudden Cancellation
Taylor Frankie Paul has reportedly been dumped by the winner of her unaired The Bachelorette season following the show’s sudden cancellation.

According to a report from entertainment columnist Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack published on Wednesday, March 25, the 31-year-old mother of three was dumped by Doug Mason, the man who allegedly won season 22 of the ABC series.
“He’s out,” an insider told Shuter. “Once everything came to light, he couldn’t stay.”
Paul has been the talk of the nation after ABC pulled the plug on the reality dating television series just days before its March 22 premiere. The show was canceled hours after a video surfaced on TMZ showing a 2023 domestic dispute between Paul and her on-again-off-again ex, Dakota Mortensen. The exes share son Ever, 2.
Paul has come under scrutiny for her behavior in the disturbing video, which showed her throwing metal bar stools at Mortensen, 33. At one point, one of the metal chairs accidentally came in contact with her daughter, Indy, who was sitting on the couch. Paul shares Indy and son, Ocean, with her ex-husband, Tate.
“It changed everything,” the source continued. “There was no coming back from it once the full picture emerged.”
As Star previously reported on March 20, Mason, 28, broke his silence on the situation, sharing words of support to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star.
“In light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment, and her moment was blocked,” he said via his Instagram Story at the time. “All we can do right now is just be hopeful. I am headed off to run to watch the sunrise. I hope you guys have a great day, and let’s stay positive and show nothing but support for people in need. Cheers.”
An insider claimed to Shuter that Mason “said the right things in public, but privately, he made a clean break.”
Another source claimed Mason “dodged a bullet.”
“This situation forced people to make choices,” the source added. “And he chose to walk away.”
Adding to her personal turmoil, Paul is now reportedly under investigation in connection with a third domestic assault incident.
In addition to The Bachelorette season featuring Paul as the lead being cancelled, news broke that season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has also halted in the wake of the domestic assault investigations.
Following The Bachelorette’s cancellation, Paul released a statement through her rep.
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security. After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm,” a rep for Paul said via People.
“There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives,” the statement continued. “Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation and public shaming.
She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”
