General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) could potentially be headed into the danger zone.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been bonding with Ric in recent months, but will their newfound connection turn out to be short-lived?
At the moment, things are going Ric’s way with his new job as Sonny’s criminal defense attorney and the relationship they’re finally forming as brothers.
Plus, Ric has the reunion he’s been longing for with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), who decided she’s willing to give their romance another chance.
Ric is also in a good place with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kate Mansi) right now, so everything is going right in his life.
On soaps, that’s often when fans need to worry about a character’s world crashing down!
Of course, it’s possible Ric’s redemption won’t stick and he’ll betray Sonny in some way.
That’d be one path to Ric’s life spiraling out of control with devastating consequences.
However, there have been rumblings about Ric potentially facing a grim fate or at least a close call.
After what happened in the April 10 episode, GH fans may have a reason to worry about Ric and his chances for survival.
Considering the situation that’s in play with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Sonny admitted he’d taken steps to make sure his family was protected, including Ric.
After Ric insisted that wasn’t necessary, he joked about being the one family member Sonny could afford to lose.
Sonny insisted he didn’t want to lose Ric, who suggseted it was because he was such a good lawyer.
That’s when Sonny insisted it was because Ric was his brother, so it was a nice moment that cemented their sibling status and all the work Ric’s put in to get there.
Although it was a sweet scene, it also felt rather ominous under the circumstances.
Sidwell’s desire for revenge is growing stronger every day, so Sonny may be wrong about him realizing someone else is Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) killer after his initial wave of grief passes.
One or more of Sonny’s loved ones could pay the price for Marco’s demise despite the fact that Sonny wasn’t actually responsible.
It was Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) who took Marco away from Sidwell in the end.
Nevertheless, there could be a fatal outcome for one of Sonny’s loved ones depending on how far Sidwell takes his revenge mission.
Could Ric end up getting killed off or at least get a storyline where he comes dangerously close?
Whatever the case, Sonny’s “I don’t want to lose you” dialogue felt heavy and was perhaps foreshadowing some major Ric drama.
