General Hospital’s Laura Wright Reveals New Role with Days of Our Lives Stars

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) recently revealed her involvement in a brand-new project. Wright dropped a hint on X (formerly known as Twitter), so let’s talk about her latest gig and how it ties in with soaps.

David Duchovny has co-written a satire comedy called Soapbox, which he’s also starring in.

The film follows the story of an aging soap star who’s well past his heyday in the world of daytime dramas.

The movie also features appearances from soap alums Vincent Irizarry (ex-Deimos Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives) and Christopher Sean (ex-Paul Narita on DOOL), so SOD reported on their involvement before Laura Wright chimed in on her X account.

“Someone else may have a cameo in this movie as well,” Wright teased when she reposted the news story.

Just in case it wasn’t obvious, Wright added a couple of winking emojis along with some raised-hands emojis to indicate she was indeed making a cameo in the film.

GH fans may remember another unforgettable cameo Wright did for David O. Russell’s Joy, which was released back in 2015.

Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Susan Lucci (Erica Kane on All My Children) and Donna Mills (ex-Madeline Reeves) all appeared alongside Wright for that film, which was a real treat.

As for Laura Wright’s upcoming Soapbox appearance, she hasn’t revealed the details.

Although the movie started production in March, there isn’t a release date just yet.

However, it’s certainly exciting that Wright’s going to be part of the project, so we’ll all be eager to catch her in the film when it comes out.

In the meantime, viewers will continue to see Carly heating things up in Port Charles.

Carly is currently stuck in a messy triangle that involves oblivious Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and jealous fugitive Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Valentin believes Carly should break things off with Brennan, but Carly obviously still thinks it’s better to keep him close – especially considering the situation with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Of course, Valentin was still running through Carly’s brain in the April 9 episode when she fantasized about him being in her bed instead of Brennan!

General Hospital spoilers say Carly and Valentin’s connection will lead to some serious Brennan blowups eventually, so stay tuned.
