‘Bachelorette’ Contestants Told Contracts Will Remain With ABC for a Year—Here’s What That Means
Everyone was on a call…except for Taylor’s winner.

Key Points
- Taylor Frankie Paul’s Bachelorette contestants will reportedly be under contract with ABC for a full year.
- The cast had a call with Warner Bros, and everyone was there except for Doug Mason (Taylor’s winner).
- Some of the men COULD go on to do Bachelor in Paradise.
Wondering what’s happening to Taylor Frankie Paul’s Bachelorette contestants now that the show has been cancelled by ABC? Apparently, they’re still under contract.
People reports that Warner Bros. held a meeting with Taylor’s men on the same day the show was cancelled (everyone was there except for her winner, Doug Mason), and told them their contracts are good for a full year.
“All of the men were on the call with Warner Bros. except for the winner,” a source explained. “The lawyers told them all their contracts will be in place for a year.”
This comes amid TMZ reporting that some of the men might get another chance at televised love on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, which People also confirmed—noting that casting “has not taken place for the spinoff series at this time.”
A source previously told the outlet that Tay’s men were “losing their minds over” the news, and “They’re extremely disappointed. They felt betrayed when they found this out because they all went into this to genuinely get to know Taylor.”
Meanwhile, an anonymous contestant told E! News, “Part of me is just so fucking pissed. We all gave up so much to go do this. We all came in with open hearts. We treated her kindly and respectfully and gave her a second chance.
[We] tried to let her turn over a new leaf and we all believed her when she said she did. Obviously, the way she acted and the way she treated all of us in hindsight is just a waste of time, a waste of energy, a waste of emotional intelligence.”
As for Taylor’s winner, Doug Mason, it looks like he wants to be the next Bachelor? More on that below!
