Tearfully!! Anthony Geary’s Husband Finally Breaks Silence as Cause of Death Rumors Swirl.

Legendary actor Anthony Geary has died at the age of 78, days after filming what will be his final project.

A week ago, Geary’s husbandCladio Gama, shared a photo of the couple at their home in Amsterdam,” Gama wrote in the caption of an Instagram post.

Gama added that the couple was celebrating Sinterklaas, a traditional Dutch Holiday. “It’s Sinterklaas today in the Netherlands the kids get gifts and we give chocolate letters to each other,” he explained.

In the same post, Gama shared everyday details from their evening, noting that he stayed home with their pet, Max, while Geary went out with a friend. “I did some work now home with Max watching UK championships snooker,” he wrote, adding that Geary had gone out to see Wicked 2.

Gama has previously reflected on the couple’s long history together. In an earlier post, he shared that he and Geary first met 30 years ago, in February 1995, and later married in 2019.

“Tony and I met 30 years ago and got married six years ago, two anniversaries to celebrate.” He also mentioned marking the occasion at home in Amsterdam with food and time together.

Geary passed away on Sunday due to complications from a surgery he underwent the previous week, according to Gama.

According to TV Insider, Geary had recently filed scenes on a new project with his former General Hospital co-star Anders Gove, which is expected to be his final professional acting role.

In addition to his roles on General Hospital, as Luke Spencer and his look-a-like cousin Bill Ekert, Geary had many other credits to his name, ranging from playing Tom Whalom in the ABC dramady Room 222 to an appearance on the CBSsitcomAll In The Family, with his most recent appearance being in the 2013 film Alice and the Monster as George.

For his portrayal of Luke Spencer, Geary won a record setting 8 Daytime Emmy awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series with his first award coming in 1982 and his last in 2015.
